According to Michigan First Credit Union, Young & Free is the Credit Union’s “ongoing effort to give the 17-to-25 crowd a voice, a head start, and useful information.” Basically, it’s designed to aid young adults in making responsibly financial decisions with a representative–Spokester, as they call it–from that age group who is charismatic and relate-able.
Currently, Lawrence Tech alum Janelle O’Hara holds the position, but her term ends very soon! Fortunately, two more Lawrence Tech students, Austin Chapman and Erian O’Neal, are fighting about 30 other contestants for the position.
